Watchdoc ScanCare - Presentation

Principle

Watchdoc ScanCare is an add-in Watchdoc solution module for scanning documents, enhancing and sending them, from multifunction devices, to a network folder or, by e-mail, to a recipient of your choice.

Scans can be:

  • Saved in different formats: Picture, RTF, Word, PDF, indexable PDF;

  • Sent via e-mail via file transfer (FTP) to a file server;

  • Transferred to a documentation system with connectors available for Exchange®, Sharepoint® and DocuShare.

Pages scanned using Watchdoc ScanCare are included in the Watchdoc statistics for the user.

Available features

Numerous functions enhance the processing of digitized files:

 

Barcodes

  • recognition and reading of barcodes for document separation

  • integration of automated workflow processes, such as remote verification, auditing and traceability

  • indexing and automatic routing of scanned documents using the actions stored in these barcodesn
Connectors to databases these connectors enable the recognition and indexing of relevant data, as well as full-text database searches
Optical Character recognition (OCR

  • for reading and searching scanned text documents,

  • for saving them in office tool formats such as MS Word, MS Excel, OpenDocument, RTF or Text (with document autorotation function, if required,

  • targeting of document areas to be read for analysis
Intelligent scanning:

with Scanner Power Tools (SPT), scanning is optimized:

  • automatic file naming,

  • creation of indexable PDF files,

  • autorotation of the pages,

  • page cleaning,

  • page cropping,

  • removal of blank pages,

  • Bates stamping,

  • addition of metadata,

  • document separation,

  • compression.
Scan to mail: send scanned files to e-mail addresses (integration with MS Outlook, add recipients as copies and/or blind copies, notification of receipt of scanned file);
Scan to cloud: thanks to the connector, ScanCare can integrate with :

  • Google Drive® professional,

  • Sharp® Cloud Portal Office (SCPO),

  • Scan to Box®,

  • OneDrive®,

  • Gmail®

  • and WebDAV-based applications.
Scan to IBM® softwares ScanCare provides direct integration with LotusNotes® and Domino®, enabling e-mail addresses to be searched directly in their directories.
Scan to Sharepoint® scanned files sent to the user's SharePoint Services® space.
